To hard to control

This game is to hard to control with a mac book. Very frustrating. Not worth the money if you have a macbook do not know what it would be like on any other computer.

Great Game

The only complaint I have is that this game makes me feel stupid at times. It has some tough puzzles and timing.

Superb game!

It’s such an amazing game, I enjoy every bit of bit. The puzzles are tricky but fun, music is engaging and graphics are butter-smooth and simply nice. Along with Machinarium, the Braid is the best mac game for me, so I wholeheartedly recommend it. For a reasonable price you’ll get hours of fun :)

The best

Probably the best game I ever played. Puzzles are super-hard and super-fun. And it also has a story line. If you are going to play it, please please please do not look into walkthough. Even if you think a puzzle is unsolvable. There are no bugs or gliches. The last puzzle took from me 6 hours to solve.

Cheated and still struggled, fun!

Great game. Im big on cheating my way through and still found it challenging. Very fun.

Braid is Amazing!

Absolutely worth the money! Amazing content. Amazing soundtrack. Thoughtful and artitistic graphics and storyline. Challenging and changing puzzles. I cannot wait for them to release another game.

50/50

If you are up for a real challenge, consider a 50% chance of a good game. Anyone who likes collectables that are hard to get shouldnt be dissappointed. But if you dont care about collectables and think a games levels matter in length, and challenge in getting from point A to point B, this title is an easy skip. It is a real challenge to get every puzzle piece, but a lot of the level-advance doors require no difficulty to reach, as some doors are right next to the door you came from. A rare and rather easy selection of boss fights, too.

One of the Best Puzzle Games Ever!

I love puzzle games, and the platformer aspect is great. I love the ease of downloading from the Mac App Store and this was a great buy. I have almost pulled my hair out trying to figure out some of the levels, but it is SUPER fun. Quality work!

So hard So fun

I beat most of the levels but cannot figure some of the puzzles out. You must have a lot of time on your hands to beat this game!

Single greatest video game of all time

Braid more than any other game I have ever encountered blurs the line between game and art. Between the beutifully swirling backgrounds, atmospheric score, and innovative story telling, braid takes a simple puzzle game and rockets it toward artistic perfection. The centrel ideas of the game are extremely creative and innovative and gripping yet perplexing plot is a mind-blowing wonder. 10/10 Five stars 100% awesome

Well worth the time and money!

Truly unique gaming experience - Youll use both sides of your brain, and have so much fun.

Games like this change everything.

Braid is at the sharp edge of the "games as art" discourse. Its simple but brilliant time mechanics are a good hook for puzzlers, but its the deep, cryptic story that makes this game such an amazing accomplishment. Hard to decipher, sure, but so worth it. Like a Vonnegut or Cormac McCarthy novel that the player interacts with, literally playing the metaphor. And if complex allegory isnt your thing, its still a rad game to wrap your brain around.

I bought this game and I did not think that it was going to be that great, but I was mistaken. This game rocks, and the puzzles are fun to solve, some are pretty tricky and take some careful thinking to solve. Im glad I bought this game and I highly recommend this game to anyone looking looking for a fun puzzle solving challenge, with amazing visuals.

Best

Best. But please add iCloud support for save files. I usually play (and replay-replay) it on my macbook and iMac. Would be just great to be able to automatically sync the progress. :)

Fantastic!

Seems to be written by some sadistic and poetic genius who plays sudoku and every variation of Rubiks cube ever invented. For fun. The puzzles are so inventive, I was impressed throughout the game. Very, very well done

I honestly thought I would not like this game, but after playing with it, I was so wrong. The storyline is very sad yet confusing to understand. A great buy, great story, no regrets.

Buy It While Its $3.99

This is my favorite game Ive ever bought in the App Store! Its pretty challenging, but really rewarding when you get through it. The makers of this game were very creative, so even when it gets tough, its still fun and not too frustrating. From the story, to the music, to the gameplay, its worth every penny.

Appreciation

This game is something I can appreciate. To me, that means I can see why others like it but I cannot bring myself to like it. Maybe I just dont like puzzles. I really thought I was going to get a straightforward platformer, but I got more than I really wanted. The game is beautiful and creatively executed. There is real thought and artistic expression and exploration going on here. If youre someone who believes that gaming can include artistic expression, its likely youll like this game. In order to like it, youll also need patience. And itll help if youre amused with the insufferable main character. For some reason I detest him. The back-in-time motion is interesting, but again, its not for me. I was irritated by the plagiarism of Mario. Platforms, squat-statured character, even the green pipes with killer lotus flowers protruding from them. Im unimpressed. Cant recommed this one. I tried to like it, I really did. Deleted.

Have I reviewed this game already?

…because even if I have, it deserves another. This is a fantastic game. Engaging levels, visually astounding artwork, clever puzzles, challenging levels, and a truly unique experience. Worth every penny.

rules not made clear

I had to cheat and look up the FAQ.... and found out that there are a ton of abilities and key strokes that the game simply does NOT make clear. This game is much more difficult than it needs to be simply because you dont know all the abilities of the universe.
