Ignore the few negative reviews - they didnt play it long enough to figure out how to actually play it or advance past the first simple puzzles. I didnt get it at first, but after sticking with it I figured out how to do things (shifting time is the key) and now Im hooked. If you enjoy puzzle games at all, then dont miss this one.

Stunning visuals, music, and gameplay. Never played a game like this before, its a must-buy.

Just fantastic from top to bottom - Graphics, music, and most importantly, gameplay. The levels can get extremely challenging - which is a good thing. Well done whoever made this game!

This is a good game, but I cannot switch out of it. This is a big fail despite everything else.

I cant just say other things that Wow !. This is geniously made. Simple, artistic, colorful and brillant. I cant wait for the next step and game from Hothead. Continue your good work ! Thanks for this beautiful exprience.

Having a lot of fun playing this game. Some of the puzzles are hard but when you solve them its extremely gratifying. Graphics are beautiful and the soundtrack is also amazing. The mechanic of reversing time has been done in prince of persia, but this has *many* more "hooks" that work with reversing time. Very fun very cool very pretty, totally worth it.

In one word: Beautiful Music is threw the roof. (especially when it changes due to time manipulation!) Gameplay never gets old. Visually beautiful! Arguable the best game, possibly best App, I have bought!

This games just great.

i bought the game and it has great gameplay. Who says you need to have great graphics to enjoy a game . The fullscreen mode look awesome on the new macs. just buy it . I got it for 2 dollars when it was on sale but i liked it so much that i would have paid $ 15 for it

I should have scrolled down a LITTLE lower in the reviews before buying this game, because had I, I would have skipped right past it. This game is nothing more than a Mario Brothers rip off complete with goombas, a princess who you have to save (I mean come on, the game actually uses the "The princess is in another castle" text) and gameplay that is exactly the same as Mario Brothers except for the fact you can do some silly time reversal. Yeah, there is some interesting music, and once in a while you notice something eye catching in the background, but how these guys got away with infringing on a Nintendo franchise is way beyond me. There is nothing original here people. Keep moving. Nothing to see here.

This game is awesome, but subtly so. Only when you get into it do the feel the emotion behind it. What makes this game special is the way it uses time. Not your average game. Youll need to experience it to really experience it!! Highly recommended. Great soundtrack too!

Why this has such great reviews I will never know. I am deleting it. I finished nearly 2/7 worlds and have come to a conclusion. This is like mario but has no charm and the puzzles require noticing weird quirks and not so much solving real puzzles. Terrible…. Terrible…. Not for a casual puzzle game...

I cant recommend Braid enough. Dont dismiss it as a Mario clone- its actually more of a puzzle-solving game than a platformer. Normally I find puzzle games boring (I prefer action/adventure/FPS games) but Braid is unlike any game Ive ever played. Every challenge is centered around manipulating time- slowing it down, rewinding it, or in some cases, doing both. Some of the puzzles are really challenging, but theres this extremely satisfying AH-HA! moment when you figure them out. You can progress through the game without completing every single puzzle, so if you really cant figure something out, you wont get stuck forever.

I played this game on Xbox and just had to buy it when I saw it here. This game is amazing and there is nothing like it out there. The visuals are fanciful, beauitful and haunting, and the same can be said of this fantastic games story. Its easy to dismiss this game based on the ease of its platforming elements, but believe me, this game is not trying to be Super Mario Bros. It is a puzzle game, and platforming is how the designers chose to lay out the puzzles. Anyone (and I am sorry to be rude to the people who have reviewed this game negatively) who has dismissed this game as a "mario bros rip-off" clearly does not have the attention-span, patience, or intelligence to understand the surreal and emotional beauty of this game. If you are the type of gamer who can invest yourself in a game, you will find no faults with it. A pure joy to play, with one of the best soundtracks out there. I am a huge gamer, and have been since childhood. This game is of the best video games I have ever played. It truly pushes the genre.

This game… wow, I cannot begin to list the great things. It has superb graphical performance, and the graphics themselves all have a very smooth, handdrawn look. Nothing looks like it was made by a computer. The gameplay is intriguing and to-the-point, and will not leave you super frusturated, but enough to poke at your brain. Puzzles are super fun. The sound design is very good as well, and when combined with the two mentioned above, makes a game that you, seriously, will get sucked in to. Absolutely awesome. Good job, hothead games!

Five stars for sure, I would give it eight if I could. This game is truly "da bomb". (forshadowing awesomeness) If you have no idea what Im talking about, look it up. It will change your whole perpective of the game.

This game is beautiful. It is an intricate piece of mind-bending litterature. It is an innovative game mechanic. It is a frustratingly hard puzzle. And most of all, it touches the tips of many philosophical icebergs, keeping a keen player captivated throughout its gameplay. Having just finished playing, I am both high on the feeling of success it gives you through completing the puzzles, and in awe of how the story completed itself. And yet, I cant describe the story. Not because I would spoil it, but because it is a story that must be felt to be appreciated. And it can be felt in so many different ways. It can be felt as love. As forgiveness. As innocence. As frustration. And even as confusion. Though no matter how you feel the story, and unless you are an oblivious drone: you will feel it, it is always beautiful. This game is beautiful.

The game is worth every penny. Simple and charming story and easy to pick-up gameplay. The puzzles gets very difficult and rewarding towards the end. I had absolutely no bug or crash during my play through.

Hands down one of the best games I have ever played. Its lush environment and heavy use of emotion in the story makes this game a one of a kind. It explores a world that asks what it would be like if we could do things over again and never make mistakes. It is a puzzle game and not a platformer so beware of that, but for the intellectual gamer, this is a cant miss title. The people saying its a rip of super mario are unfortunetely missing the entire point of the game which is a pitty because they arent absorbing the games greatness. Worth every penny and then some. Highly suggested.
