The game is just beautiful, and it is matched by stunning gameplay, and wonderful puzzles. To be honest Im not much of a puzzler, but man was this amazing. The game never gets repetitive, and it finishes well. The game is also fairly difficult, and requires a lot of thought. Id reccomend this to hardcore gamers, and others as well.

This game is incredible. It has a solid gameplay concept that complexifies over time, similar to Portal; it has an elegant plot that starts out simple and sweet and (literally) explodes in the finale. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous, with really beautiful animation accompanying it. The game is long enough, especially for the price of $3.99, and the secret stars only add to the length. The puzzles are never repetitive, and each world incorporates a different and unique concept. This game is fantastic, and if its still on sale by the time you read this, I urge you to buy it. Id say its worth up to $15.

i purchased ths app yesterday but its not downloading untill now even it already took my $3.99 + tax. what the hell is the problem? please help anyone!!

Braid is a breathtaking statement on what gaming could and should be across all platforms. The Mac version is as good as any out there, its technically undemanding on your hardware but very demanding of an open mind. Any dedicated gamer should play this through, and anyone tempted to try gaming should start here. Truly outstanding.

If you dont own Braid yet you should. It is a beautiful side scrolling puzzle adventure with a compeling love story intertwined. The puzzles start out at a level easy enough for you to get the hang of it, but by the end of the game you can really feel your brain working overtime to figure out how to get all of the puzzle pieces. If you are someone that appriciates beautifully landscaped levels, challenging puzzles and a game play stlye that strives to be different and succeeds, Braid is for you.

As a physicist, Ive always struggled to find games that challenge me intellectually. I can almost feel my brain melting when engaging in "mindless gameplay." Braid has exceeded my expectations and then some. The music is not only fitting to the storyline/activity, but at times it is hauntingly beautiful. You will not be dissappointed to say the least.

I have played many games in my life but this is something else.. Challenging puzzles, Outstanding music that makes u go deep into the game, THE BEST STORY EVER MADE, IN MY OPINION. Despite all the weird things you might find in the game, in the end, everyting makes sense. BRAID.

I thought this is game for little kids but not…it has very challenging puzzle…youll have to use the "rewind" and "fast forward" button to complete a variety of tasks….its not as simple as it seems….

I bought this game and "Limbo" for Christmas. We really loved Limbo, and gave Braid a few tries before deleting it. It just wasnt enjoyable for any of us… was quite hard, actually. Disappointed in this one. Also felt the graphics were a bit low-budget.

WOW! This game was made by a team of two? The hand-painted graphics are gorgeous. The music is haunting. The plot is deep, with an emotional twist at the end. And completing the game will challenge veterans--it is hard! Definitely buy if you loved Fancy Pants as kids. Thank you! Definitely worth $10 (I got it for just $3 on sale).

Great game, story, music, what everyone else said it cannot be said enough really. The only problem is, I CANT BEAT THE GAME lol. Its extremely challenging, but somehow not in a frustrating way.

Braid is 3 things: 1) a difficult puzzler that demands thought and innovation from the player 2) an artisitcal masterpiece 3) a subtly symbolic story about mans search for power (if you think its just about saving the princess, think again!) I just finished the game today and I am very glad I bought it. If you are thinking about buying it, dont get put off by how hard it is right off the bat. Keep playing even if you dont get all of the puzzle pieces right away. There is a bit of a steep learning curve for this games dynamics, so dont give up! I got stuck within the first 10 minutes of playing and didnt actually figure out how to get 2 puzzle pieces from world 1 until I had gotten to the next to last world. Playing this game is equally as rewarding as it is frusterating and if you play to the end, you will find the storyline to be much more than it originally appeared to be. On top of all of that, the game is simply gorgeous and the music is awesome. Dont Buy If: -You hate quality games -You want mindless action -You cant appreciate art -You hate platformers -You give up when presented a challenge SERIOUSLY GO BUY IT AND PLAY TO THE END!

This is the most original game on the app store. Do buy. Its artistically beautiful, elegantly simple, and fun to play!

yes, beautiful, yes challenging, but it gets boring quickly. And to compare it to MYST is a gross injustice. The puzzles all have to do with manuipulating time. At least the ones I have finished, maybe theres something past level 4 but I kind of doubt it. DONT BUY THIS THINKING ITS GOING TO BE LIKE MYST or even Seventh Guest. The good reviews must be from people who work at the company.

This game will not run in fullscreen on my retina macbook pro running mavericks. Emails to hothead games got me a “this game is no longer supported.” ugh.

From start to end i felt so compelled to play this game After finishing i went right back to it. One of the best puzzle games Ive Ever played!

This game either renders its entire playfield in a small corner of the screen, or cuts off areas in other resolutions that render full screen. If you have a Retina display, hold off until or if this is fixed.

This game is absolutely amazing, one of my favorite indie games of all time, but there is no resolution that functions well on this app version on a 15” retina display! Please fix so I can give it the 5 stars it deserves!
