Captivating, Engrossing and Puzzling

I found Braid throught the documentary ‘Indie Games’. Knowing the developer/designer’s back story in how he created this game certainly added to my enjoyment. Regardless, Braid is something special. I haven’t seen something as intriguing and thought provoking as Braid since Limbo (though I think Braid actually came first!). Highly recommend this game for those that like unique visuals and amazing sounds, or tricky puzzlers and a good story.

Just great !

Amazing game ! it has a perfect controller support ! Nice to see this game on Mac !

love the game, but broken on 2014 macbook air

I love this game. I don’t find too many games that interesting, but Braid is special. The puzzles are tricky and challenging and the story is interesting. I would give this game 5 stars easily, but on my 2014 macbook air, I cannot time travel faster than 1X, which means [minor spoiler] that some of the puzzles are impossible to solve. I would love to get back to this game, but I’m stuck for now. I have tried all of the options provided during launch but no permutation of options fixes time travel for me. Please, please fix please

Genesis of a genre

Beautiful game, and still in a class by itself. But, oy, does it get frustrating sometimes.

One Of A Kind.

This game means a great deal to me. When it first came out, I was a film student at Full Sail University. It was a very scary time of finding out who I was and being on my own for the first time in my young life. I am not a gamer at all, but I had read rave reviews on Braid, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Braid allowed me to escape the world that I felt so trapped in. It took my mind off the incredible difficulty of being gay in a conservative Christian family. It distracted me from the endless YouTube searches of debates on endless topics I was doing on a daily basis. The beautiful music and artistry is masterful. You can tell that a hell of a lot of heart went into making this game. Worth way more than $9.99. Thank you to all who were involved in the making of this game. What a great accomplishment. You should be very proud of yourselves. -Kenneth Vert Jones, OKC, Oklahoma

App not installing on Yosimte(2015)

The app isn’t installing for me at all, anytime I go to install the game from the App Store, I get errors and a message saying it can’t install.

Bummer, won’t download

I am also having a problem being able to download this app…please fix!!

Won’t Install

I clicked buy in my Mac App Store and it is hung up and will not install. Can’t find anyone to help resolve this issue.

Won’t Install with Old OS Either

Won’t download under Yosemite 10.10.5 either. At least for me. Please fix. . There is, by the way, NO Braid support. If you follow the link to Hothead Games you will find no mention of Braid on their website.

Braid

Will not open on my new iMac - there appears to be no support. Dead end when you go to support link.

Amazing piece of art

The game is impossible to forget!

Not for me

Game’s just annoying, have to go on youtube to figure out most of the levels. Maybe if you’re a masochist this game is for you.

Doesn’t take long to solve, but replayable in Speed-run mode.

Braid plays beautifully, with each set of levels having their own mechanic which affects the playability. If you’re not a stranger to gaming, it won’t take you all that long to finish the game, but fortunately the game comes with a Speedrun Mode allowing you to improve on your playing time. Just to give you an idea, the challenge time to complete the game is 45 minutes. I’ve seen some of the Speedrun pros at AGDQ complete it in less than 30 minutes, but their precision is pixel-perfect in some cases. But that’s why it’s worth making the purchase for such a relatively short game. You can play it over and over. Just like the Van Halen albums from the 1980s. You could listen to the entire album in less than 30 minutes, but you could just play the thing all day. And it was good. Braid is also good. Much less anger and profanity-inducing as Super Meat Boy.
